Better?

I took the time to seek you and open my heart for the chance

And you bit, took hold but it was I who was caught

Caught in the possibility of the moment — that instant — your choice.


They say it is better to have loved and lost

Then to have never loved at all,

But is it better to make the attempt at love

Then to never try and thus never be rejected?


I believe I loved more the thought

Of telling you my feelings

Then actualization of the emotion

Once you knew...



Love's truth

There is a feeling that the heart contains

That not many in this world can explain

It is deep and it is hard to evoke

yet some believe it can be stimulated with a simple stoke.

It grabs hold and won’t let go

And if you are careful it will grow,

Into something more than what you planned

And then it will be in high demand
